My name is Enrico Basso, I was born in 1989 in Turin, Italy, and have been studying piano since 1997. Music entered my life as a child and has never left.
Between 2006 and 2014, I played as a keyboardist in several bands, moving mainly between progressive rock and funk/soul. During those years, I composed original tracks and performed live with over 150 concertsstrong> across Italy, the Netherlands, and Germany—an experience that shaped me both as a musician and as a person.
I have always been deeply fascinated by film music, especially by the great classical and neoclassical Hollywood composers: Erich Korngold, John Williams, and the American symphonic tradition. It is only in recent years, however, that I decided to turn this passion into concrete practice, focusing on composition and orchestration for screen.
Today I take part in international film scoring competitions to develop and refine an original style that bridges the symphonic tradition with more contemporary influences.
I approach every score as a project — with a structure, a narrative arc, and a clear goal. Music tells stories, and I want to tell them well.
